14–15, 2007 Click here for Registration Form
Your Invitation to
Attend
Publishers, Potential
Publishers, Self-Publishers, Authors, Editors, and Illustrators — You’re
invited to take advantage of an excellent opportunity to hone your publishing
skills and find new, proven ways to sell more books. Learn what you need to
know from top publishing industry experts who will speak on working with
Publishers Weekly, prepublication reviews, production (including traditional
and POD printing), marketing, and a report from our representative to the PMA
University in June.
Vendors — We understand that other publishing associations charge an arm and a leg for the privilege of allowing you sales access to conference attendees. Not so at FPA events; we are vendor-friendly! For the price of admission to the Publishing Ed-U-Conference, you are afforded the opportunity to set up a display of your company’s wares for attendees to peruse during the event, you are invited to put a flyer in the attendee packet, and you may attend any of the speakers’ presentations. If you don’t attend, why not participate in our inexpensive insert and sponsorship programs? For details send an email to FPAbooks. Librarians — Attend at FPA-member rates. Be your library’s publishing resource for authors, self-publishers and others who seek factual and current information on the book publishing process and industry.
Book Awards Luncheon
FPA 2007 President’s Book
Awards — During the Ed-U-Conference luncheon, President Frank Gromling will
present awards to this year’s winners. Books published or authored by FPA
members in both 2005 and 2006 were eligible for the 2007 awards. Keynote
speaker will be Sara Nelson, Editor-in-Chief of Publishers Weekly.
Everyone Wins!
Door prizes for everyone —
Throughout the Ed-U-Conference, drawings will be held for door prizes. Our
goal is to provide a prize for every attendee, but you must be present to win.

“Kick Back & Relax”
Friday Evening Social — Publishers Weekly is sponsoring the social and will
offer light refreshments and camaraderie, as well as an opportunity to meet
